Very rare Art-Box documenting American artists working in Berlin, including Arnold Dreyblatt ”Propellers on Love” LP and artworks, prints & booklets by several visual artists. Published by Amerika Haus, Berlin in 1986.
Box and all artworks in perfect condition, record is unplayed.
Works by John Gerard, John Gossage, Karl Edward Johnson, Hal Meltzer, Raphael Pollack, Andrea Scrima, Shinkichi Tajiri and Arnold Dreyblatt.
“Artist’s Box, issued as catalogue to accompany an exhibition sponsored by the Amerika Haus Berlin and Initiative Berlin-USA e.V., in 1986. The Amerika Haus Berlin was developed following the end of the Second World War to provide German citizens access to American culture and politics, and engage in discussion and debate on the transatlantic relationship. It was run by the American government until 2006. Including the sound disc “Propellers in love / Arnold Dreyblatt and the Orchestra of Excited Strings”, one original artwork by John Gerard and one Pop-up artwork by Tajiri. Most texts in German and English.
