Art edition of 24 copies. Wooden boxes containing a cricket and a cicada, an insert illustrating the project and a CD. Music for balance and motion (the loss of) is based on three elements: a cricket sample, a cicada sample (both taken from field recordings sessions during 2001) and sine waves, a 22 minutes track inspired by and focused on the obsessive nature of the sounds of these insects, conceived for contemporary music festival Rai Nuova Musica.

Luca Garino (Italy, 1978) aka Psalm’n’Locker is an Italian artist active since 1996 in the fields of concrete music, electronic music, field recording and ethnological research. He started as self-taught under the moniker of A.H.V. and then continues his research at computer music at LaSDIM (Laboratorio per la sperimentazione e la didattica dell’informatica musicale). Recently he’s curating a sound poetry serie (including Arrigo Lora-Totino and Ghérasim Luca) and few releases of the danish fluxus artist Henning Christiansen with the italian label Holidays Records.
